# Setup Guide

## Introduction

To use this cheat, follow each step in this guide. This product is kernel-level[^1] software, which requires you to disable your PC's security features to operate.

## Setup Guide

GUERRILLA utilizes the overlay in MedalTV.

* Download & install [Medal.TV](https://medal.tv/)
* Click the Medal TV logo in the top left
* Go to settings (gear icon, bottom left)
* Click overlay
* Make sure `Enable Overlay` is toggled on

* Uninstall all third-party [antivirus software](#user-content-fn-2)[^2]
* Uninstall all third-party [anti-cheat software](#user-content-fn-3)[^3]
* Toggle off [real-time protection](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/turn-off-defender-antivirus-protection-in-windows-security-99e6004f-c54c-8509-773c-a4d776b77960) (Windows Security -> virus & threat protection)
* Toggle off [memory integrity](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/options-to-optimize-gaming-performance-in-windows-11-a255f612-2949-4373-a566-ff6f3f474613) (Windows Security -> device security -> core isolation)
* Disable Windows Defender using [Sordum Defender Control](https://dexa.im/defender-control) (password: `sordum`)
* Disable [Hyper-V](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/windows-client/application-management/virtualization-apps-not-work-with-hyper-v#disable-hyper-v-in-control-panel)
  1. Press the Windows key
  2. type `windows features`
  3. click Turn Windows features on or off
* Or, you can disable Hyper-V in PowerShell:
  1. Press the Windows key
  2. type `powershell`
  3. click run as administrator
  4. type `Disable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName Microsoft-Hyper-V-Hypervisor`

If the above steps do not work, you may need to complete the Hyper-V step within the BIOS.

* Reboot PC
* [Enter BIOS](#user-content-fn-4)[^4]
  1. Disable [secure boot](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/disabling-secure-boot?view=windows-11#disable-secure-boot)
  2. Disable fast boot
  3. Disable [TPM module](https://knowledge.workspace.google.com/kb/disable-trusted-platform-module-000002212#solution)
* Save & exit BIOS; reboot PC
* Sync your PC's date & time
* Head over to the [client panel](https://dex.cheatpanel.com/getloader)
* Enter the license key from [your order](https://account.dexa.im/orders)
* Download your custom loader build
* Move the loader to your desktop or a folder
* Right-click -> run as administrator

For security reasons, the loader automatically deletes itself after each use. You must re-download the loader each time.

* Input your license key from your order
* Click `inject`
* The loader will indicate success
* Launch the game
* When at the main menu, press the [`INS`](#user-content-fn-5)[^5] key to open the menu

Setup completed.

### Before you Play

Kernel cheats operate deep within your PC and will remain there until your PC is rebooted. When you are finished using any of our products, we recommend you reboot your PC to ensure nothing is left running to prevent cross-bans.

[^1]: Kernel-level software operates at the core of an operating system. The kernel manages system resources and provides a bridge between software and hardware.

[^2]: for example: AVAST, AVG, McAfee, Malwarebytes, etc.

[^3]: for example: Valorant Vanguard, ESEA, FACEIT, etc.

[^4]: Immediately after rebooting/on PC boot, press the F2, F8, F12, ESC, DEL, whichever key(s) your PC uses
