# Reinstall Windows

A reinstallation of Windows typically fixes most unusual errors with cheats or other software on the PC. Old installs, upgraded installs, very specific software, and custom builds (pirated or otherwise) of Windows can all cause issues.

Typically, if standard troubleshooting steps in each of our guides do not resolve the issue with a product, our staff team will recommend reinstalling Windows.
